Close Car / Those Faces That Blur

A 2 track electronic single (10m 5s) — released March 26th 2021 on Heald Recordings

New label Heald Recordings debuts with a release series from UK based producer Will Lister, his latest release since contributing to the recent Peach Discs compilation curated by Shanti Celeste and Gramrcy. Heald 001 through to Heald 003 weave through an electronic soundscape, tying together familiar sounds from the club with unexpected but rich rhythmical textures in a melodic and intriguing way in a style signature to Will Lister's productions.

Heald002 is undeniably the grittiest pairing in the three part series. 'Close Car' bounces off juttery rhythms with ear grabbing melodic interruptions. Dry drums are met with heavily effected and eery harmonic lines. The track climaxes and builds into a gritty rhythmic whirlpool with vocal-esque sounds spiralling in the distance. 'Those Faces That Blur' bring a dubstep influence to the body of work, with jarring detuned stabs sat on top of thumping kick drums and deep sub bass.
